I waited a long time to shoot macro with my kit. The biggest hurdle was the lack of a macro lens. The money was (and is still) too much. So there come my so far unused kenko extension tube set coupled with the Thrifty Fifty (Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II) and my Canon EOS 400D.
I would say I was more than satisfied with my first macro outing. Walked around my apartment for about an hour to settle for these three dozen exposures
