Anything long and this is what I end up with. Also the longest lens I have. I got a 2009 date code, and relatively speaking, I think I have a very sharp copy of this lens. It's a bit of many things - long, versatile, heavy, sharp, relatively slow (for my taste). But overall, a very good beast. This was my first L purchase
