Diwali, the most prominent festival of India. Diwali, or more correctly Deepawali, literally means rows (awali) of Lamps (deep, deepak or diya); and hence lighting lamps is an intergral part of the celebration. Here we go lighting a few as we celebrate in 2008 :)
